Aberrant spectres are Slayer monsters that require level 60 Slayer to kill. They frequently drop large amounts of herbs and herb seeds, along with the Ghost hunter equipment and Ectoplasmator.
When worn, it boosts the player's necromancy damage by 7.5% and necromancy accuracy by 12.5% against their current Slayer assignment. The spectral lens can be transformed into an ensouled spectral lens through the ensoul spectral lens ritual, which allows it to be attached to a full slayer helmet.
Favoring the abby spectres is certainly a smart move. It might not be max efficiency with points, but their herb drops, chance on 8-12 ghostly essences (I believe anywhere around 10k each) while on task make them very good for mid level players :). I think you can do Smoking Kills without 90 combat. I highly recommend it for the Slayer point boost!
The full slayer helmet combines the effects of several pieces of head slot Slayer equipment, all of which are required to create it: Like a spiny helmet, it protects players from wall beasts when traversing the Lumbridge Swamp Caves. Like earmuffs, it deafens the screams of banshees.
Aberrant spectres are Slayer monsters that require level 60 Slayer to kill. They frequently drop large amounts of valuable herbs and herb seeds. A Macaw Summoning familiar is helpful as it will improve herb drops (however herbs will no longer be noted) (requires level 41 Summoning), as will herb gloves (a reward from the Fist of Guthix minigame).
Aberrant spectres can be assigned as a slayer task at level 60 Slayer and level 65 combat by various Slayer masters. They are popular among most players for their common herb and herb seed drops, which includes more higher-level herbs such as ranarr and dwarf weed.
Masks give the slayer helmet damage boost on-task. When a mask is upgraded to a helm, it loses the damage boost, bonus xp and drop doubling functionality. Slayer masks/helms act as the required protection item, so you can wear them instead of a face/head protection item or a slayer helmet.
