The STR-DG820 meets all audio requirements for HD-audio, and bare HD video functionality, in order to keep costs down. This allows a cheaper alternative for HD-audio compliancy, but also provides a contrast to what other recievers of in the same price range offer...they offer the video scaling, but not HD-audio.
26 paź 2008 · I am looking at replacing my STR-DG700 with the DG800, and have a few questions about the HDMI inputs. As your probably aware the DG700 only outputs audio through the first/master HDMI input and not the others, i take it that the DG820 outputs audio through all the HDMI ports?

12 lip 2009 · My issue, in brief, is this. The receiver allows "Video 1" video connection via HDMI, component or composite. It can, and does pass any through to the TV. This model can't convert video, just repeat it, so if the input is component, the output is component (and only component).
