Social Science is unique among the sciences in its ability to engage students in active, cutting-edge research. Physics, Chemistry, and Biology types of classes do have laboratory components to their work, but it is rare that students in those courses experience novel research as it happens.
AT WPI: All faculty advisors will be given PI accounts, all undergraduate RA’s and IQP and MQP students will be given Researcher accounts. Logging In Go to http://wpi.sona-systems.com . The Experiment Management System provides an easy method for you to sign up for studies, and track your progress through the term. Everything is done through the software’s web-based interface, so you can access the system at any time, from any computer, with a standard web browser. Getting Started
To sign up in Sona Systems as a Participant in the Participant Pool: • Open a new browser. • Go to http://wpi.sona-systems.com • Click on “Request an account here” on the left side of the page • Complete the registration form. • Sona Systems will send an email to you with log in information including a username and password.
This site is actually created and maintained by a company called Sona Systems. The point of this site is simply to let people post studies for you to participate in, and for you to sign up for these studies. This site has the most current record of the studies you have signed up for, and the credit you have recieved from them.
