This article is an attempt to present the concept of ethnography as a qualitative inquiry process in social science research. The paper begins with the introduction to ethnography followed by the discussion of ethnography both as an approach and a research method.

1.0 INTRODUCTION. Social research pertains to the study of the socio-cultural implications of the social issues. In this regard, different scientific disciplines have influenced social research in terms of theorisation as well as methods adopted in the pursuit of knowledge.
