Smithing is the process by which players craft a metal item out of one or more metal bars. Smithing is always done at an anvil, using a hammer or an imcando hammer. When a player clicks on an anvil or uses a metal bar with one, an overlay is shown in which the player selects which item to forge.
Enable 'Transparent chatbox' and 'Click through transparent chatbox' in the settings. Consistent 0-tick banking will increase experience rates to 390,000 experience per hour, or 420,000 experience per hour when wearing the Smithing cape. Gold bars can be smelted faster at the Blast Furnace by using one or three runners.
Temporary boosts do not stack, e.g. a dwarven stout provides +1 level boost to Mining and Smithing, and a mature dwarven stout provides +2 to the same skills; using them together only produces a +2 boost as only the higher boost counts.
Smithing is an artisan skill through which players smelt ores into metal bars, and forge these bars - and other materials - into various items.
