So back in circa 2008 (plus or minus a year) making Smash Machinima was a "trend". It was a form of storytelling with using camera hacks and it was pretty cool.

Smash King is a Super Smash Bros. Brawl Machinima created by Tigura21 on July 27, 2008. The series takes place in a world similar to the lore of Super Smash Bros., wherein the characters are Trophies competing in a tournament.
Of all the machinima series out there, "Smash King" is probably the greatest. Featuring an intricately designed story, phenomenal voice acting, and unforgettable renditions of some of gaming's greatest characters, the entire series deserves the amount of praise it receives from fans.
