From this point until the end of the dungeon, Saarthal is a typical Nordic ruin, containing leveled draugr enemies. There is a rotating pillar puzzle in one room; the symbol to match is above and behind each pillar. The second puzzle is like the first: match each pillar with the symbol behind it.
The solution to the puzzle of the rotating pillars in Saarthal is: Back left pillar reads Whale. Front left pillar reads Snake, Back right pillar reads Hawk. Front right pillar reads Whale. Turn the pillars in order, stopping each time you get to the correct symbol.
