14 paź 2021 · While the FAA doesn’t require AADs for solo skydivers, anyone who wears one must follow Code of Federal Regulations 105.43.c, which states, “If installed, the automatic activation device must be maintained in accordance with manufacturer instructions for that automatic activation device.”
AADs (Automatic activation devices) are used as a safety precaution, to allow for the automatic deployment of either the main canopy or reserve canopy in cases where the skydiver may be unable to deploy his or her parachute.
