All Pro Magnum LiftersTM require an adjustable valve train for proper operation. Lifter preload should be set to .002”-.004” (hot settings). These adjustments should be made similar to the adjustment for a hydraulic lifter camshaft.
Prepare a clean work area and assemble the tools needed for the camshaft installation. It is suggested to use an automotive manual to help determine which items must be removed from the engine in order to expose the timing chain, lifters and camshaft. A good, complete automotive manual will save time and frustration during the installation.
Solid Lifter Cams: Consult cam spec card or cam manufacturer for correct lash specifications. With the proper feeler gauge between the roller and valve stem, turn the polylock until a slight drag is felt on the feeler gauge.
