  5. Located on the northeastern edge of Lassithi, Sitia is a picturesque town dominating a natural bay that bears the same name. With a population of around 11,000 inhabitants, Sitia is renowned for its fabulous beaches, which have been awarded a Blue Flag, its temperate climate, its hospitable people and its excellent wines.
