We use asiarooms to get a bench mark. Have found that it is often cheaper to book directly with the hotel. DO NOT use the hotel reservation system. Email them and ask what rate they can offer for your stay (remember to give them your dates)

Book online, they'll take payment details, and check with the hotel for availablibility. If rooms are available you'll get confirmation and a voucher and they'll take payment. If no rooms available they'll cancel your booking but suggest alternative hotels nearby and in the same price range. Have found them to be reliable and cheap.

The only issue is that their website do not provide online booking confirmation: you have to submit your boooking and they will confirm (or not) on day+1.
