20 kwi 2020 · That doesn't work—the game can't read the files. Move the first Mods folder out of Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 and onto your desktop, open that Mods folder, and drag the Mods folder inside it into the Sims 3 folder. Be sure to delete your cache files again.
1 maj 2012 · If you have tried the instructions to install Sims 3 package files and the suggested test file (Rick's no intro mod) is not working in your game... Step 1: Double Check! If you actually follow the steps correctly from start to finish, your custom content WILL work!
20 mar 2013 · If you don't, some of your custom content may not work! You must also get updates from the creator (s) for any hacks/mods before putting them in the Documents path shown below. I have been trying ever since I got my new laptop with windows 8.1, to get my sims 3 mods to work properly. I have tried multiple ways to try and get them to download properly, but nothing ever seems to make them show up on my downloads to be installed on my actual game when it's opened up.
Resource.cfg file is not in the mods folder. 2. Mods or custom content isn't installed correctly. 3. DCCache needs to be renewed if CC not working or is missing. 4. Outdated, Incompatible, Bad, Duplicated or mixed in a Sims 4 .package file. 5. Need to Delete some files, as explained below.
My mods folder is in the right area, packages, resource.cfg is downloaded, caches are ALL deleted, but every time I boot up the game my mods aren't working. I even checked my mods with the Sims 3 Dashboard checker and they're all fine. My sims 3 version is 1.67.2.024037.
