A singing round, or canon, is a musical song where two or more people are singing the same melody, but the starting time is different for each person (or group of people). It’s a great way to teach children about rhythm and counting whilst encouraging independent musician skills.
Singing in a round is one of the most basic yet complex methods of performing music. A musical round is a polyphonic method of singing where two or more voices repeat the same phrase at different times, creating harmonic layers.
