Download the setup tool from the Silent Hill 2: Enhanced Edition website. https://enhanced.townofsilenthill.com/SH2/install.htm. Follow the recommended steps on the setup tool Make sure on the last step you select the ditrctly where the Silent Hill 2 files are at (if not, you'll get a warning) .
If you download the "Fully Extracted Version" you shouldn't need to virtually mount any sort of disc image, nor install the game as the files are already unpackaged for you. That download on MyAbandoware is for a 100% vanilla SH2 PC game.
