You can choose to hide or show the sidebar, resize it, change the order in which sidebar items appear, or show only certain sidebar items. On your Mac, click in the Dock to open a Finder window. Hide or show the sidebar: In the menu bar, choose View > Hide Sidebar, or View > Show Sidebar.
24 lip 2011 · In Vista. Click on the Orb; Type Windows Sidebar Properties in Search; Press Enter; Tick Sidebar is always on top of other Windows. Click OK; Just tested it and it actually fits the windows next to the Sidebar when Maximized. Alternatively double click the icon in the TaskTray to quickly display it.

29 cze 2010 · Once inside a Finder window, hit Command+J or navigate from the ‘View’ menu to ‘Show View Options’. From the View Options, select ‘Color’ or ‘Picture’ under the Background submenu. Using the color picker, select the color you want to use for window backgrounds.

For no known reason, the Sidebar background changed to solid white and appears to be on top of (covering) the desktop background (apparently below the Sidebar area). The desktop background is unchanged; it now appears to be covered by the Sidebar with its own solid white background.
