24 lis 2014 · For a csh script, you should use #!/bin/csh -f; the -f tells the shell not to source the user's .login and .cshrc, which makes the script run faster and avoids dependencies on the user's setup. (Or better yet, don't write csh scripts.)
12 lut 2014 · Standard shell script: #!/bin/bash; Python: #!/usr/bin/env python; Scripts seem to work fine without headers but if headers are the standard, there's a reason for them and they shouldn't be ignored. If it has an effect, then it's a valuable tool that could be used to accomplish more.
17 lut 2011 · A simpler option in my opinion is : echo -e "task goes here\n$ (cat todo.txt)" > todo.txt. This works because the command inside of $ (...) is executed before todo.txt is overwritten with > todo.txt. While the other answers work fine, I find this much easier to remember because I use echo and cat every day.

I want to add a sentence to header of a file using bash script, I tried echo "#define Block $i">>mypro.cpp but it add '#define Block $i' to it's end. Thanks in advance
