28 mar 2018 · File sharing Between Windows XP and Windows 10. I simply want to create a home network, consisting of a windows XP machine and 2 windows 10 machines. This seems to be almost impossible.
7 sie 2018 · I have a share on Windows 10 Pro that is accessed by Windows 7 and 10 with no issues. On Windows XP machine, I can ping both the hostname and the IP, however I get error 64 when I tried net use and cant access it from File Explorer. Any ideas how to access file share from XP hosted on Windows 10?

7 lis 2016 · Hi guys, I have a shared folder on a Win XP pc & could access it from other Xp machines, but trying access it via back slash “\192.168.x.x” from a win 10 pc it keeps saying that my un or pw is wrong. I’m losing sleep on this one; any ideas as to how to fix this?
4 paź 2014 · Change Advanced Sharing Settings: All Networks section -> Turn of public folders, 128 bit encryption, turn off password protection. Private section-> Turn on network discovery, Turn on file/print sharing, Allow Windows to manage homegroup. I created a test share C:\Temp (\\PCNAME\Temp)
6 lut 2019 · I’m able to access the Windows 10 share from other computers running Windows 10 and 7 without an issue. SMB1 is enabled on the Windows 10 computer. I have tried accessing the share by both name and IP from the XP machine to no avail.
7 sie 2018 · I have a computer (let’s call it Server, runs Windows 10 Home) which needs to access shares on various computers throughout the network. They are a combination of XP, 7, 8 and 10. It works on all but one computer: I have that one computer, let’s call it LC2, that runs XP Pro - SP3.
