27 kwi 2022 · Started in the 1990s, Serenbe is a New Urbanist community in the farmlands of Chattahoochee Hills, located south of Atlanta, Georgia. Its name comes from “serenity” and “to be,” created by Steve Nygren and Marie Lupo Nygren after a 1991 visit.

Steve Nygren, who had previously opened a Bed & Breakfast in the area, developed Serenbe. [1] The name "Serenbe" was his wife Marie's idea, and refers to the location's serenity.
