To begin the licensing process for the unarmed security guard certification, you must first successfully complete 40 hours of unarmed security training at a Security Officer School or Training Facility that is licensed by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS).
The security D course will provide security guard students with the security training needed to work in private security. The security training will prepare security guards in the following topics: access control, terrorism awareness, emergency procedures, report writing, interviewing techniques, CPR, and crime prevention.
