23 lut 2021 · We liked all the straight-tube extensions we tested, but have a practical preference for metal hinges for cruising or racing boats and for polymer hinges for dinghies. We like the Ronstan TFP on our F-24 and Murray Sports’ Hobie hinge on beach cats.
We're looking for some feedback and advice regarding Bay Manufacturing outboard extension kits. We're considering expanding our product line and these kits would seem to be a logical fit. Please, anyone with experience (personal and/or professional) feel free to chime in.
12 kwi 2011 · The Bay Mfg extension kit is a 5" conversion kit approved by all the marine motor manufactures. It is where the kit makes a certain length outboard 5" longers. I'll post pics tomorrow.
13 mar 2014 · Apparently some of the Bay kits for larger motors will require some drilling/reaming of the mid section of the motor in order to accomodate the drive shaft extension. Call the Bay Kit folks and they will answer any questions!
29 gru 2010 · you can buy extension kits for most outboards I have done 2 converting a long shaft to an exlong shaft. It takes a couple of hours to do and with the addition of a hi-thrust prop makes a big difference.
