Like you, I think it should be a data field on IMDb as well as searchable. For example, I'd like to be able to search for films released within a certain time period and then be able to filter that search for, say, just films dubbed into Spanish. I attempted to get an answer to this by using IMDb's community forum.
You can see this easily before buying tickets in the theater or online. "OV" or "VO" will mean it is in the original language. "VF" means it is dubbed French. Usually only kids movies get dubbed in Dutch, I think then it will say "NV".
