Seanan's writing is straightforward as always and the style suits an urban theme, though a bit heavy handed.

Shortly afterwards, Toby's world shattered when her best friend from childhood Stacy Brown suddenly was revealed to be her adversary the Summer Queen Titania, who hates Toby's guts.
