The Old Stone Fort Museum Complex is open daily from May 1 through October 31. Mondays through Saturdays 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 12 noon to 5 p.m. Special events, celebrations, lectures, observances, workshops and educational programs take place throughout the year.
An official Path Through History Site! A 1772 church, the Old Stone Fort Museum Complex in Schoharie was fortified and attacked during a Revolutionary War battle in 1780. Today it celebrates and preserves the rich, historic legacy of the Schoharie Valley.
About a mile past the Schoharie business district the main road bends left, but continue straight ahead onto Fort Road to the museum. From Columbia County and Berkshires Cross the Hudson on the Rip Van Winkle Bridge and proceed west on Route 23 as in the directions from New York above.

Reservations are now available for road tests statewide. Please note: You must bring an up to date pre-licensing course completion certificate. We will not honor expired course completion certificates.
