The Educator Certification Online System (ECOS) is the online site for educators to access their certification account to verify or apply for certification. The Texas Education Agency Login (TEAL) is a secure gateway where access must be set up before an educator can access their certification account.

The State Board for Educator Certification’s portal offers a “current” version that only includes certificates with active dates. The “historical” version includes certificates with expired dates.
Anyone holding a valid Texas public school educator certificate can view his/her certificate through the secure Certificate Lookup. The virtual certificate is the official record of an educator’s certification status, eliminating the need for school districts and individuals to keep paper copies on file.
