I presented a way to work with OLEObjects that represent a Bitmap Image in this answer and it is possible to use the technique presented there to extract other file types as well.
The problem I am still having is that the file that is saved to the disk is unusable to any normal picture viewing utilities. Is there something I need to do to the ADODB.Stream like add a header or something to make the file readable?

7 lip 2017 · I insert the bmp image using OLE object insert and my image appears as shown in my first attachment. I save and close my AutoCAD file and when I re-open, my image appears as a blank rectangle. I tried this as well with a png file and I get the same results.
