If anyone else stumbles onto this looking for a solution, try getting a link in a different browser. And have Samsung Internet as your primary browser. Put the link in your notes, text it to yourself, whatever, then click it. It should open Samsung Internet with that link opening in a new tab.

To remove the ads, you can use ad blockers in the Samsung Internet app, and uninstall third-party apps with intrusive pop-up ads.
