17 maj 2024 · It's the 'deluxe' Fujimi kit (#60012) that includes 5+ sheets of PE and depicts this carrier during the Battle of Leyte Gulf in '44. My goal was to depict it on it's last morning with the last sortie of aircraft about to depart before being sunk.

8 wrz 2008 · I'm thinking about scratch building an aircraft carrier (and build out the complete wings that would be seen on the deck) in a 1/72 or 1/144. I know the dimensions are ~9.5ft for a 1/144 and 15 ft for 1/72 carrier.

The first is a history of the vessel (but dated), and the next two pages are very good descriptions of the various equipment onboard the carrier. This is followed by 24 pages of very detailed instructions, many with pictures of the model as built to help you.
