Well there are 4 light puzzles total and they get progressively more painful... I can't give you a complete walkthrough on how I did it but my method was to work backwards from the crystals. I first figured out which mirror had to be in a certain way to direct light to that crystal (usually there is only 1.)

Recently I finished "The light within", and I'm really curious about the design behind the last part of the quest (where you need to rotate stones left/right in the Elder halls). It seems that it was customary for many of the Elves quests to contain a light puzzle of some sort.
