I also read Tim Foley’s weekly piece on Intermat and he’s unabashedly anti-singlet. I wanted to give my perspective as a long time wrestler, fan and photographer.

Until the 1990s low-cut wrestling singlets were a thing at the Olympics as shown in this photo. Why are such singlets now no longer worn by Olympic wrestlers? They’re too sexy. Csnt have those girls in the stands swooning all over the place. The UWW changed around 20 years ago.
