In this passage, Paul referred to two ways people try to be right with God. They either try to do it themselves, thinking that they can work hard enough, obey well enough, or do enough good things to be right. The other way is to put all of that aside and trust someone else to do it for you. Do it yourself or trust someone else to do it for you.
