I don't understand the business model of Rocket Money, and as a neutral outside observer it appears to me to be a scam, and here's why (please, correct me if any statement I make is wrong). The purpose of the app is to clear out unused subscriptions. For you to install an app for this reason makes no sense. Why?

10 wrz 2024 · While we can’t promise it will be right for you, it’s definitely not a scam. The Rocket Money app finds and eliminates costly and unused subscriptions, negotiates with service providers to reduce your monthly expenses, and helps you budget and manage your finances.
Scam of a company. Rocket money called my phone provider and pretended to be me to lower my bill, which I didn’t ask them to do. I paid the $10 a month for the extras but I didn’t know I would be charged %60 for bill negotiation. How can they get away with pretending to be the user? I can’t even close my account without paying $240.
