16 lut 2022 · A tradition that dates back to the early 1980s will reappear this Saturday, Feb. 19, 2022, as Ridgeland area businesses and civic organizations once again host the annual Pioneer Day celebration. Three signature events are part of the schedule – a greased pig chase, “chicken fly,” and a horse drawn parade.
14 lut 2024 · The schedule of events includes: • 10:30 a.m., Greased pig contest, Eldon Luer Ball Field, with competition in the following age/gender classes: 7-under; 8-10; 11-13; 14-15; and women only. Participants must have a Pioneer Day button to compete.
14 lut 2024 · 42nd annual Ridgeland Pioneer Day’s this weekend. Pigs will be chased, horses and wagons will be on parade, coins will be sought, food and beverages will be served, and, of course, chickens will fly this Saturday, Feb. 17, 2024, as the village of Ridgeland hosts its annual Pioneer Day celebration.
