Notes. The latest version has support for GPT drives. It also has a fix for making drives bootable using bootsect.exe from the Windows AIK, aka Windows PE.It issues a FSCTL_ALLOW_EXTENDED_DASD_IO which experimentally seems to fix a strange problem (Windows bug?) where all the writes succeed but nothing actually changes on disk.

12 paź 2018 · User interface version of free and easy tool that formats hard disk drives, large or small, into FAT32 as opposed to the now-default NTFS format. FAT32format GUI is a freeware format partition app and formatter, developed by RidgeCrop for Windows. It's pretty user friendly.
I know I'm 2 years late to this, but the source code for it (at least for the non-GUI version http://ridgecrop.co.uk/index.htm?fat32format.htm) is available from their website, here: ridgecrop.co.uk/download/fat32formatsrc.zip (GPL license).
12 wrz 2014 · http://www.ridgecrop.demon.co.uk/index.htm?fat32format.htm. This is a 3rd party tool for formatting FAT32 drives beyond 32 GB limit. It has both command line and GUI modes. Exceeding 32 GB limit for FAT32 drives is not possible through the native "format" command on windows.
