If you're worried you aren't ready for an RG, trust me, you are ready for this one. It has the most intelligent plastic engineering I've ever seen. Absolutely worth preorders/restock notifications.
Bandai branched RG kits out of the Gundam series, with the RG Evangelion series also being fantastic (with minor flaws that can be easily remedied). RG's are also a step above MG's when it comes to build difficulty, due to higher overall part count and much lower part size.

The prebuilt frame allows for some very great looking articulation and joint strength that a model kit would never hope to have. The HiRM Astray is one of my favorite pieces of plastic in my collection, let alone kits!
