5 cze 2017 · Replacing axle seals on Dana 30 on my '69 Sport. I expected the "outer seal" to be between the axle stub and the spindle so a bit surprised to find these (image 38 is driver side, image 68 passenger) installed in the carrier tube ends.
27 wrz 2010 · The dana 30 seals are not easy to replace, especially if you haven't done it before. I would highly recommend that you use the search feature and locate some of the threads that went into a lot of detailed discussion on D30 seal removal and installation.
4 sie 2019 · 1. Remove the axle shaft, vacuum disco, hub assembly, brakes etc to clear up the space so I can remove the old axle seal. 2. Clean out the tub to the best of my ability. 3. Using a slide hammer on an appropriately sized socket, tap the seal into place until it appears to be sitting *just* right.

22 mar 2009 · Just google "changing Dana 30 axle seals". It'll be the same for the WJ as every other D30. Basically, it'll involve completely tearing down the front axle and removing the carrier.
11 mar 2008 · #1. So the YJ has bad axle seals in the front (Dana 30 w/ vacuum 4wd disconnect). I've read some online write-ups on how to replace them using some threaded rod, large washers and/or large sockets, mallets, and other various hand tools.
2 cze 2018 · For the sake of pedantry there are aftermarket axle end seals you can get for the d30. Ostensibly they're to keep water and mud out of the tubes to keep the inner seals in better shape, but I've seen people try using them to contain an inner seal leak, with varying degrees of success.
