1 wrz 2006 · When both bolt slots are broken, the author installs a closet ring replacement over the existing closet flange. After marking and drilling holes in the slab for anchors, he applies a bead of silicone caulk. Then positions the ring on top of the existing flange and sets the anchors.

Plastic Closet Flanges: If possible, remove remaining portion of corroded and broken flange. If remaining portion cannot be removed, SuperRing will be mounted on top. Apply a small bead of RTV silicone sealant to the underside of the SuperRing that will mount on top of old flange. Set SuperRing on top of remaining portion of old flange.
