26 mar 2018 · Based on what you've described, I would suggest removing and then re-adding your Facebook account under System Preferences. You can get there by selecting the Apple menu > System Preferences > Internet Accounts. Select your Facebook account, and then click the remove account (-) button at the bottom of the list.
25 kwi 2015 · I've stopped getting annoying notifications, but now whenever I try to re-add my Facebook account I keep getting the same old: "Unable to verify account name or password", and I can't seem to be able to add any Facebook accounts to Internet Accounts at all now.

facebook has changed how some third party apps are allowed to authenticate. you will need to login to facebook via browser and go to Account Settings > Security > App Passwords and generate a special password for each app that you are trying to authenticate

Click either Allow all accounts to log into each other or Choose which accounts can log into other accounts. Stop your Facebook account from logging into other accounts. Click your Facebook account.
1 maj 2017 · If someone ever logged into a Facebook account on your device before there would be such suggestions... probably the only solution is to "erase everything" and restore from backup to remove...
