1 maj 2023 · This article aims to provide guidance to the nurse educator using a nursing history framework and a 5-step approach to integrate history into an already saturated curriculum. Through meaningful integration of nursing history at the course level with intentional alignment to existing course-level objectives, student learning will be enhanced.
Contemporary nursing identity is built in reflections on the epistemology of care, confronting the weight of tradition and breaking into new modes of self-image where the profession is legitimized and projected from historical consciousness.
18 wrz 2019 · History does more than tell us what we have done well in the past. It also tells us where we have failed, where we should have done better. In this vein, some nursing history provides a counter narrative to the discourse that nurses have been victims in history.
6 kwi 2018 · We intend to identify a dozen or so of the 20th century nurses who had the most significant influence on nursing as we experience it today. By uncovering our recent history, we aim to encourage the profession to reflect on the motivation as well as the achievements of these pioneers and what the future could hold for us in building on their vision.

In the current study, nursing work is understood as a role that supports adaptation to meet the needs of patients and the healthcare system.
