The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History is located on 1600 Gendy Street, Fort Worth, Texas 76107 in the city's Cultural District. It was opened in 1945 as the Fort Worth Children's Museum and moved to its current location in 1954.

Its storied history dates back to 1941 when it was established as the Fort Worth Children's Museum, with the intent of preserving and disseminating knowledge in geology, biology, zoology, history, art, and science.
Nestled within the Fort Worth Cultural District, this museum houses a variety of science and history exhibitions, interactive learning studios, an all-digital Noble Planetarium and the Omni Theater, the first IMAX Dome in the Southwest.
