So I purchased some LED strip lights, the multicolored kind, because I wanted to see if they would work as a safelight. Turns out they do! However mine, as they were a cheap amazon product, started to flicker different colors and ruined several prints. Anybody else used LED lights as a safelight?
The reason is that leds only emit light in a very narrow wavelength, unlike traditional tungsten bulbs that have a broad spectrum. If you look up the spectral sensitivity for the paper you’re using, you can buy a bulb that has a wavelength outside of that and you’ll be fine.
