I went to the game speed setting in the .ini file and set it to different speed numbers and also tried typing in the speed to see if maybe that would work. Nothing seems to change the default, and it seems like you can only change it manually from the speed bar every single time you load a new game.
17 gru 2013 · Go into your Red alert 2 installation folder and open ra2.ini in a text editing program like notepad. Scroll down and you should find game speed. I think that's the only way to modify it in single player.
I've tried this in the past and it doesn't work. The issue is that the campaign game speed is set to be in sync with the cut scene videos, which is why you can't control it.
19 wrz 2023 · I'm just wondering if people really play with game speed set to 60 fastest. I just started playing online last week with my boys but 60 is very fast, we play at 45 speed (pretty much stock RA2 non Yuri speed).
By default you can only change the game speed for skirmish matches. However... there is a way to enable it for campaign; you'll need to add the "-SPEEDCONTROL" (without quotation marks) argument on your launch parameters.
3 sty 2012 · These 2 settings should speed up RA2's performance on modern PCs. The first setting reduces lag when there are a lot of animations being displayed on the screen. The second setting disables the in game's ability for the sidebar to be stored in the videocards VRAM, which might provide a small boost.
28 mar 2021 · The origin version provides a launcher for both games so adding -speedcontrol to that launcher doesn't unlock the game speed settings in the campaign missions. Can anyone guide me on how to enable the game speed in the campaign missions of an Origin version?
