I saw this was requested a couple weeks ago and am more than willing to share my stories. I am a former groupie- mostly rock, alt rock, but have hung around bands of all genres- old, new and current. I am 25 years old and was "on the scene" from around 2002 when I was in high school up until a year ago.
Acquaintance of mine was a "kind of" groupie in the 80s. She had an slightly older female friend who would let her tag along when she was like, 14 or so, with the understanding that my friend wasn't to be messed with in any way (sex, drugs, alcohol, etc). She was attractive and good at small talk.
I'm not sure if anyone here is interested in groupie stories from older rock bands, but I have quite a few of my own and stories from friends. I'll share my best one though. This happened in 1995, when I was a young student living in Melbourne.
