18 mar 2021 · You should average 2-3mpg more (tank to tank) with the pentastar over the hemi. It is a reliable engine and is used for lots of fleet work today so that tells you something. It's not a perfect engine. Cam and valvetrain issues can happen with them, but parts and labor are not awful.
