31 lip 2013 · Here are the options I've thought of, not sure which of these is the correct way: Purchase a compatible split union nut (not sure if any are available or how to find) Purchase a replacement nut, cut the existing waste pipe to slip the nut onto, and reconnect the cut pipe with a pvc coupling.

14 kwi 2021 · I've ordered this split union nut hoping that it's the right size and will resolve the issue. If it doesn't work, is my only choice to cut out the joint, slide in a new union nut, and rejoin the piping using a coupling? There's only about 2" of PVC to make the repair.
