There is currently an email scam going around suggesting that you (as a Playstation account holder) have reset your password. This is not a brand new scam, but it's always worth being updated that these things are still happening, and how they look.
I definitely didn't have my current e-mail back then. but the email addresses they come from appear legit. the links seem to take you to the actual sony login/help site.
It's possible that someone used your email address to create an account. If you receive a PSN email that you don’t recognize, change your email password immediately and contact us*. *If you can't access your email account, please contact your email provider.
Based on the email address it’s definitely a scam. I checked my emails to see one as a reference and they usually send emails with a Sony Entertainment email, theres no “playstation” on the address for account related ones, for game ads they do mention playstation but is “email@email.playstation”
11 maj 2018 · You can be confident that it is a scam if the other player tries to direct you to switch to a messaging service other than PSN. They will do this because our moderation team cannot see messages that are shared outside of the PlayStation ecosystem.
