Both should be same when it comes to reliability, I'd say take one that has lower runtime and/or warranty sticker intact. One advantage the 80gb has is it has a better smoothing filter than the 60gb. I have the 80gb model. I've had it since the mgs4 bundle was released, and it works flawlessly till this day.
I'm looking at either 160gb or 320gb slims to replace it, but there seems to be subtle differences beyond HDD size. The 320 seems to be less power hungry, better chips, better RAM modules, lighter...but it's hard to confirm.
I just bought 2 sticks of 8gb ddr3 ram, but it turns it its 2 sticks of 16 gb server ram.
The main difference besides the HD size and accoutrements, is the 160gb model has wi-fi built in. I am not sure that I would need or even use it. Is it that useful or beneficial to have?
