4 sty 2022 · Proverbs 11:30 turns out to be a difficult verse to interpret, and translators have rendered it in various ways. Some translations are close to the NKJV’s “he who wins souls is wise”: “the one who is wise saves lives” (NIV), “one who is wise gains souls” (NASB), and “the one who wins people is wise” (ISV), for example.

What does Proverbs 11:30 mean? A righteous person seeks God and godly wisdom (Proverbs 1:7; 3:32–33). As a result of following the Lord's commands, he touches the lives of others with life and healing (Proverbs 10:21; 11:10). The Lord Jesus is the clearest example of this principle in action.
It is righteousness only that will deliver from the evil of death. A good conscience will make death easy, and take off the terror of it; it is the privilege of the righteous only not to be hurt of the second death, and so not much hurt by the first. Pro 11:5-6.
