The Prom follows the story of four Broadway actors whose careers are on the decline. In a quest to revive their public image, they decide to travel to a small town in Indiana to support Emma, a high school student who has been barred from bringing her girlfriend to the prom.
The Prom was released as a Netflix movie in Fall 2020, starring Meryl Streep, James Corden, Nicole Kidman, Andrew Rannels, and featuring newcomer Jo Ellen Pellman as Emma. The musical has also been adapted into a young adult novel, released in September.
