27 paź 2014 · The Hull Truth posters seem to have a bias against PROKAT, but I only know of one boat that had a problem. I have had virtually no trouble with the hull or fittings since buying it in Feb 2001. If you take it for a test drive, make sure you go with someone who knows how to run a cat.
22 sty 2013 · I own the 2850 ProKat. It is powered by twin counter-rotating Mercury Optimax engines. The fuel consumption is low for a boat this size (1.8 mpg) and the ride is very dry. I cannot take four footers and run fast like a World Cat or Glacier Bay - the boat flies out of the water.
I'm in my second year with my Prokat. Couldn't be happier. I replaced the 140(sold the 140 for 7K) with a 175 and actually get better gas mileage and cruise 30 mph with top speed in low to mid 40's.
Think long and hard before buying the 2860 Pro Kat. My fishing buddy bought one without a test ride, keptr it less than 6 months before selling it on.It is comfy enough in light.
9 gru 2008 · Been part owner in boats, monohulls, from 18 to 42ft. I LOVE this boat because it is stable, easy on gas (w/twin 135 Mercs), and easy on my spine (history of ruptured/herniated discs). Dive buddy recently relocated.
18 sie 2017 · Has anyone here done significant work on a Prokat 2860 or similar? These are wood-free hulls, but they seem to have some foam in the front part of each...
11 lis 2006 · My brother owns a 2660 prokat and it is great to fish on. I have fished for about 4 years mainly on cat boats. If your looking for the security in a smaller boat, you hands down can not beat a cat. And they are reasonable priced for what you get. Feel free to b-mail me with any questions.
