I owned the original AVP since 1999 with Proceed's HPA-2 and HPA-3 amps. Was not exactly impressed with the amp's but was very impressed with the AVP's easy use and great sound quality for both music and video.
10 lip 2013 · I love my AVP and have found several for fiends and clients and all are thrilled with the power and flexibility they offer especially for the price. The AVP is NOT a fully balanced unit though but does have XLR outs that are just wired single ended.
The Proceed AVP is an outstanding preamplifier/processor with Dolby Digital and DTS. It is software upgradable so it should be able to handle any new format that comes along (DVD audio, for example). The sound quality is excellent and never fatiguing.
Proceed AVP A/V Preamplifier. Every bit of the AVP is designed almost perfectly. I have not heard a processor with as much detail for music or movies. The stereo surround mode is wonderful on certain music. I purchased the AVP anlong with an AMP 3 for a wonderful combination.
18 sie 2005 · I found I didn't need or want the latest 6.1, 7.1 etc but want Stereo, DD / DTS / THX done well which is what the Proceed gives me. Much better connectivity as well. Yes there are a few things that are dated but overall it is still highly competitive. Been through the Meridian and Lexicons as well.
1 sty 2005 · Well the Proceed AVP2 is one of the best ever pre/pro to date! I have a AVP2 and it is by far the best improvement to my system. The AVP2 is a amazing 2 channel pre amp and when used as a dac it is better then most high end cd players on the market.
